Mechanical Principles

  • The principle pf cross wedge rolling is the continuous local deformation of cylindrical billets between the dies of two rolls.

     

  • The rolled workpiece has the same shape as the bottom groove of the die which is installed on the rolls of the mill , and rotates in the same direction under the driving of the rolls, driving the circular billet to rotate in the opposite direction. 

  • The billet is radially compressed and deformed in the wedge, so that the shape of the rolled workpiece is the same as that of the bottom groove of the mold
